USB-Connection for the TopSec B.x Modules
The TopSec ID module family with all its supported functionality, use cases as specified in the interface specification and with all connected and supported fingerprint sensors (UPEK area, UPEK stripe, optical, touchless) can be plugged and controlled via USB. For this USB operation we supply an interface board or only schematic to connect the FTDI TTL-232R USB-TTL (5.0V) - 1.8m cable to the TopSec family as an USB to serial converter.
All details and the drivers for the converter cable for Windows can be found under:
The TopSec PC SDK can be used via USB after installing the FTDI drivers. You also can develop your own applications based on TopSec´s powerful protocol specifications for e.g. under USB JAVA support - refer to http://javax-usb.org).
You can manufacture your own competitive USB device, while using our hardware and designing your own mechanical housing without paying additional licenses for PC based SDKs including the encoding and matching functions. All TopSec use cases and sensor combinations can be found under TopSec module and fingerprint sensors navigation.
